Jake Gyllenhaal has had a very successful acting career that almost started in a different direction.

But his parents wouldn’t let him audition for The Mighty Ducks at age 11.

And not just for any role, but for the lead. A role that eventually went to Joshua Jackson.

Can you imagine Jake as a Duck? Would his career have been different.

Apparently he was quite upset. Bawling about his parents decision and blaming them for missing out. (Sounds pretty typical for an 11 year old, eh?)
